This is the good stuff. I was lucky enough to see the final performance of Bruce Norris’ Tony/Pulitzer winning play, Clybourne Park, at Performing Arts of Woodstock. A tremendous ensemble cast most ably directed by Sande Shurin. I really can’t say enough about the play, its calculated and smart direction and the balls out choices made by the actors. I had forgotten that there should be nothing safe in live theater having seen so many tepid offerings as of late. It was a wonderful surprise to see professionals flexing and soaring. Such a strong ensemble piece rightly helmed by Sande Shurin. It was a beautiful night at the theater.
